Dan Kirtley is a veteran of Banking and Corporate Finance. He spent ten years in London-based banking roles within Credit and Structured Finance, primarily funding PE-backed buyouts. After moving to Chichester (in part for better sailing!) Dan spent five years with a Southampton-based corporate finance house where he was a Director of the business. During this time, Dan was ‘Highly Commended’ by peers in the professional community at the Solent Deals Awards, in the ‘Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year’ category.
His experience includes leading business sales to domestic and international trade buyers, Private Equity investors and public companies in the UK and overseas. Dan is also an experienced leader of finance raising, having led numerous debt processes across the range of lenders now available, for purposes ranging from acquisition to funding management buy-outs.
Dan’s completed transactions range in value from £0.5m to £70m and cover sectors as diverse as transport, consumer services, facilities management, online retail and oil & gas contracting. Previous transactions include some well-known names in the region.
Westgate was set up by Dan to provide Corporate Finance services largely to his ‘home’ areas around Portsmouth and Sussex, although recent times have shown that distance is no barrier to getting a deal done!
Dan holds a Master’s degree in Finance and has been awarded the ‘CFQ’ by the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW), being the highest level of Corporate Finance qualification awarded by the Institute.
